The Hillary Bag is made from one large piece of leather. The only sew lines are the sides and zipper. This design is intentional, in that the least amount of cuts to the leather are made. Less cuts, less points of tension on the bag. This lovely stand-out bag fits most legal pads. You'll have to check the measurements to be sure. There is also lots of room for other work necessities. This bag is great for any job that entails a laptop, folders, books, etc. It’s very roomy and great for travel. I personally use it as a carry-on for all my flights. I would add to the list of items you can fit inside, gym clothes, water bottle, sneakers, that bottle of wine you are bringing to your friend's house, etc. 

All Carrie George bags are hand sewn. Why does that matter? Good question. Hand sewing a bag takes longer, but ensures an extremely solid interlocking of the thick waxed thread. This makes the bags able to hold up to lots of weight and years of wear. The hand-sewn stitches are a trademark of CG leather, we do not use machines in the sewing, we even hand sew in the zippers.
